Bond Stress Distribution and Bond–Slip Model of Deformed Steel Bars in Iron Tailing Sand Recycled Aggregate Concrete

چکیده

In this study, the bond stress distribution and bond–slip model of steel bars iron tailing sand recycled aggregate concrete (ITRAC) were investigated using central pullout tests on 33 ITRAC bonded specimens. The results show three failure modes for specimens: splitting, pullout, splitting–pullout. Compared with maximum strength nature (NAC), specimens increased by 23.12% 6.08–23.96%, respectively. After adding 1% fiber, residual strengths 40.82% 129.10%, respectively, compared those NAC. decreased after configuration stirrups. characteristics resembled (RAC). Generally, two peaks emerged, uniformity improved RAC to (ITS). proposed constitutive agreed test results.

Reactivity in Recycled Concrete Aggregate

Full scale tests with crushed concrete used in sub-bases in roads show that the material has capacity to reharden, very slowly but also after prolonged periods of time. The rehardening process in crushed concrete aggregate has been analysed with a thermogravimetric method, comparing the change in chemical composition in the aggregate when set with water, compacted and hardened. It has been show...

Assessing relationships among properties of demolished concrete, recycled aggregate and recycled aggregate concrete using regression analysis.

Recycled demolished concrete (DC) as recycled aggregate (RA) and recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) is generally suitable for most construction applications. Low-grade applications, including sub-base and roadwork, have been implemented in many countries; however, higher-grade activities are rarely considered. This paper examines relationships among DC characteristics, properties of their RA and...

Bonding Behavior of Deformed Steel Rebars in Sustainable Concrete Containing both Fine and Coarse Recycled Aggregates

In order to assess the bond behavior of deformed steel rebars in recycled-aggregate concrete (RAC) incorporating both fine and coarse recycled aggregate, pull-out tests were carried out in this study on 16-mm diameter deformed steel rebars embedded concentrically in RAC. The concrete was designed using equivalently mixed proportions of both recycled coarse aggregate and recycled fine aggregate....

Monotonic and Cyclic Bond Behavior of Deformed CFRP Bars in High Strength Concrete

Composite reinforcing bars (rebars) that are used in concrete members with high performance (strength and durability) properties could have beneficial effects on the behavior of these members. This is especially vital when a building is constructed in an aggressive environment, for instance a corrosive environment. Although tension capacity/weight (or volume) ratios in composite rebars (carbon ...

Model uncertainty of recycled aggregate concrete beams subjected to bending

This paper investigates whether the model uncertainty of reinforced recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) beams subjected to bending differs from that of reinforced natural aggregate concrete (NAC) beams. An introductory remark concerning the importance of the codification of RAC structural design is made and notions concerning model uncertainties and their role on structural codification are given...
